On Saturday, Lazio will end their pre-season with one last summer friendly against Greek top-flight club Atromitos.
The friendly between Lazio and Atromitos kicks off at 20:00 CET on Saturday, August 16, at the Stadio Centro d’Italia “Manlio Scopigno” in Rieti.

Lazio have had their ups and downs throughout their pre-season. After routine wins over their Primavera team and Avellino, they suffered a 0-1 defeat against Fenerbahce, before registering a 2-2 draw with Galatasaray in their second contest in Istanbul, in what was an entertaining back-and-forth affair.
The Biancocelesti returned to winning ways last weekend by beating Burnley at Turf Moor thanks to Matteo Cancellieri’s solitary strike. The Italian winger has been a delight to watch all summer, and he’ll be expected to take the field as a starter once more on Saturday.
Like Lazio, this will be Atromitos’ last friendly of the summer, before they kickstart their league campaign on August 23 against Panetolikos, the same side they beat in a friendly last week.
In their previous friendly meetings, the ‘Fearless’ had played out a goalless draw with fellow Greek Super League side Asteras Tripolis, and then suffered a 0-2 defeat to English Championship side Derby County.
Lazio (4-3-3): Mandas; Lazzari, Gila, Provstgaard, Nuno Tavares; Guendouzi, Rovella, Dele-Bashiru; Cancellieri, Castellanos, Zaccagni.
Atromitos (4-3-3): Koselev; Quivi, Stavropoulos, Mansur, Uronen; Ouedraogo, Michorl, Palmezano; Tzovaras, Van Weert, Baku.
In this last dress rehearsal, the fans are expecting to see a Lazio side that is ready and raring to go, as the first Serie A kickoff is only a week away. Maurizio Sarri’s men should have the upper hand, and their quality should pull through.
Hence, the Biancocelesti will likely secure a comfortable win, especially if Maurizio Sarri decides to field the bulk of the starting lineup that is tipped to take the field against Como next weekend.
