Lazio coach Marco Baroni will reportedly revert to a 4-2-3-1 formation when he hosts Ludogorets in a Europa League contest on Thursday.
The 61-year-old has been adopting this tactical system since the start of the season, yielding exceptional results. However, he decided to deploy a 4-3-3 lineup in the previous two outings against Monza and Parma, and it proved equally prosperous, with the Biancocelesti extending their brilliant streak to seven wins across all competitions.
But as is often the case in the Europa League, Baroni will be looking to rotate the lineup, and this could lead to a return to the 4-2-3-1 formation, reveals La Lazio Siamo Noi. Christos Mandas could start between the sticks, while the backline should comprise Adam Marusic, Patric, Samuel Gigot and Luca Pellegrini. The latter remains the solitary option at left-back with Nuno Tavares injured.
In the middle of the park, the source expects Matias Vecino to maintain his starting berth while Nicolo Rovella and Matteo Guendouzi get some rest. Hence, the Uruguayan will link up with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru who will be tested in a deeper role.
After serving a three-match European ban, Tijjani Noslin is once again available for selection. The Dutchman could replace Mattia Zaccagni on the left wing, with Loum Tchaouna taking the opposite flank. Pedro could operate as an attacking midfielder after finding great success in this role this season, while Boulaye Dia should lead the line, thus dropping Taty Castellanos to the bench.
Lazio Probable XI (4-2-3-1): Mandas; Marusic; Gigot, Patric, Pellegrini; Vecino, Dele-Bashiru; Tchaouna, Pedro, Noslin; Dia.
