Lazio continue to add more teenagers to their wishlist, with Wesley Gassova becoming the latest name to be linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico.
The Sao Paulo native is a Corinthians youth product who rose through the club’s ranks and eventually earned a promotion to the senior squad in March 2023. This season, the winger has contributed with five goals and four assists in 42 appearances across all competitions, earning himself suitors on the other side of the Atlantic.
In recent weeks, Crystal Palace have reportedly held talks with the player’s agent in an attempt to sway him to the Premier League. But according to Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioSpace), the Biancocelesti are also interested in the Brazilian’s services.
The source describes the 19-year-old as a wild card who can interpret several roles in the attacking third. He mostly plays as an inverted left winger but can be equally dangerous on the opposite flank or even as an attacking midfielder. Wesley’s contract with Corinthians runs until December 2027, and his current market value is around €18 million.
Lazio are being linked with a host of teenagers at the moment, as club president Claudio Lotito is looking to fulfill his promise of signing a promising prospect born in 2005. The shortlist includes Jobe Bellingham, Matias Fernandes-Pardo, Assane Diao, and Antonio Nusa.
