Lazio have agreed to pay Granada just over €10m for goalkeeper Luis Maximiano.
The Biancocelesti have been desperate to sign a goalkeeper following the departures of Thomas Strakosha and Pepe Reina earlier this month, leaving them with no first team options between the sticks. Marco Carnesecchi was initially the main target but Atalanta’s tough negotiating style pushed the Roman club away.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Lazio have now reached an agreement with Granada for Luis Maximiano, agreeing to pay €10m for the Portuguese goalkeeper. An extra €500,000 will also be paid to the Spanish club.
Luis Maximiano will sign a five-year contract in Rome and is expected to join up with Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Auronzo di Cadore at some point this week.
The 23-year-old Luis Maximiano made 35 La Liga appearances last season for Granada, for a total of 3137 minutes. In that time, he conceded 55 goals and kept eight clean sheets, impressing individually on a number of occasions.
