Roma had originally intended to build their new ‘Stadio della Roma’ on the Tor di Valle land but have since changed their mind and killed the idea, frustrating the Czech billionaire, who attempted to convince new owner Dan Friedkin to use the land.

Lotito’s main idea is to pursue the Stadio delle Aquile project on his family’s land, located on Via Tiberina. However, The biggest obstacle with this plan is the almost complete lack of available public transport, problematic for match day fans.

Further developments are expected over the coming weeks, but concrete progress on Lotito’s Stadio delle Aquile is unlikely to occur for a little while longer.
