Lazio president Claudio Lotito has broken his silence on the future of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbia international has been linked with a late move to Manchester United – three weeks before transfer deadline day – but he currently has two years left on his deal at Lazio.

United have been linked with a summer move for Milinkovic-Savic, as per the Manchester Evening News, but they’re currently in the process of agreeing terms with Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

It remains unknown if the Red Devils plan to make a swoop for another Serie A midfielder this summer.

However, addressing speculation that Milinkovic-Savic could leave this summer, Lotito told reporters he will demand a big transfer fee for his most prized asset.

“Our market is complete and finished,” Lotito told La Lazio Sia Monoi. “Also because Luis Alberto will also remain. I quickly kept all the promises I had made. All the reinforcements Sarri wanted on the sheet were taken.”

Milinkovic-Savic has been linked with moves to United ever since Jose Mourinho was manager. He may not be what we need right now, but it sounds like John Murtough and co will become desperate if they miss out on Frenkie de Jong.

The Netherlands star was United’s primary target since the transfer window opened.
