Lazio striker Taty Castellanos was unanimously crowned as the Man of the Match in his side’s 4-1 pummeling of Nice. The Biancocelesti seized the top spot in the Europa League table with a second large victory in a row, this time in front of their home supporters at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
The heavy rains didn’t stop Castellanos from inflicting damage on the Ligue 1 side. Following Pedro’s opener, the 25-year-old doubled Lazio’s lead with a clever flick. And when Jeremie Boga pulled one back for Nice, the Argentine restored the two-goal cushion with another wonderful finish, before winning a spot-kick that was converted by his captain Mattia Zaccagni.
Therefore, Castellanos was the ultimate Man of the Match in the player ratings of the most prominent Italian newspapers. The former Girona star received 8/10 grades, while Pedro wasn’t too far behind (7.5/10). The Spanish veteran grabbed a goal and an assist in another convincing showing in Europe.
The likes of Christos Mandas, Mario Gila and Matteo Guendouzi also earned high grades, while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru was the only one to receive relatively low marks (between 5 and 6/10). So here are all player ratings granted by the Italian press (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
