Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen was picked as the ultimate Man of the Match by the Italian newspapers after delivering the winner that brought down Napoli in front of their home supporters at the Stadio Maradona.
The Dane had already tested Alex Meret with a powerful effort in the first half, before finding the back of the net late in the match. His strike proved to be the solitary difference on a night marred by heavy rainpour. The 23-year-old earned grades between 7.5 and 8/10 (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
Matteo Guendouzi also produced a formidable display in the middle of the park despite the absence of his usual partner-in-crime Nicolo Rovella due to suspension. The Frenchman earned 7.5/10 marks on two accounts, while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru got a solid 6.5/10. The backline also received praise, especially Mario Gila and Alessio Romagnoli. On the other hand, Boulaye Dia’s ratings were all over the place, varying between 5 and 6.5/10.
