Salvatore Esposito has attracted the attention of Lazio, Napoli and Sassuolo ahead of the rapidly approaching summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old Italian midfielder had a good season in Serie B with SPAL, scoring three goals and providing three assists, and he was recently given his first Azzurri cap by Roberto Mancini, playing 26 minutes of the 0-0 draw with England. As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are considering making a move for Esposito, who is valued at around €3 million by SPAL. They’ll be facing competition from both Napoli and Sassuolo, who are also keen on a summer move for the 21-year-old.

The Italian midfielder could be the perfect low-cost option to compliment the signing of Marcos Antonio, giving Maurizio Sarri significantly more options in the centre of the pitch. The club are looking to rejuvenate the squad this summer and Esposito appears to be the right kind of player to pursue.
