Lazio are reportedly interested in the services of Racing Club’s attacking midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero.
The 31-year-old is a Colombian player who started his career at Envigado and then moved to Atletico Nacional before being poached by Pescara in 2012. Following the Delfini’s relegation to Serie B, he was sold to Porto in 2013, and then went on to represent a host of clubs, including the likes of Stade Rennais and River Plate.
The diminutive midfielder has been plying his trade at Racing Club since the summer of 2023. His contract with the Argentine club is valid until December 2026. According to Argentine journalist Marcello Benedetto (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Racing have slapped a €5-million price tag on Quintero, Rendering him an interesting option for several European clubs, including Lazio.
The Colombia international is an attacking midfielder by trade, but can also play as an inverted winger, cutting from the right flank. He is renowned for his impressive vision and ability to create chances for his teammates. The Biancocelesti seemingly have enough options in the final third, but it remains to be seen if the club will decide to concretely pursue the player in January.
