Lazio have reportedly started to work on the details of a move for Sampdoria goalkeeper Emil Audero.
The Biancocelesti are gearing up for an important summer transfer window, hoping to take advantage of their Champions League qualification to improve Maurizio Sarri’s squad and give him the resources necessary to compete on multiple fronts, something that wasn’t particularly possible this season considering the options on the bench.

One player who’ll almost certainly depart this summer is Luis Maximiano. The 24-year-old did not live up to expectations following his €10 million move from Granada and Lazio are planning to cut their losses on the Portuguese goalkeeper, forcing them to find a replacement.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio have started to set up a deal for Audero, who is on the way out of Sampdoria following their relegation to Serie B.
The 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper has impressed at the Ligurian outfit for a while now and would be an accessible signing, having an estimated market value of around €6-8 million.
First, however, Lazio need to find a new home for Luis Maximiano, who has attracted interest from Spain. Once this has been completed, the club will look to pull the trigger on a deal for Audero.
