Lazio has joined the likes of Napoli in the early transfer interest of Norwegian and current Sampdoria midfielder Morten Thorsby, as noted by the Italian-based outlet La Lazio Siamo Noi.

Thorsby has been proposed to the Biancocelesti for a possible transfer move over the upcoming summer transfer window.

If Lazio pushes ahead for such a move, Biancocelesti club officials may have competition from Serie A rivals Napoli as the side has approached the midfielder to gauge his interest in moving to the Naples-based club.

Thorsby is open to a new challenge at this stage in his career, especially after completing a second consecutive promising season with Sampdoria.

The Norwegian midfielder totaled for 33 appearances in Serie A this past season. He posted a keen 1.97 tackles won per 90 rate in league play over the campaign.

It will be noteworthy to see whether Lazio will make an aggressive push to go all in to sign him over the transfer window.
