Lazio sporting director Igli Tare believes Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing may be a good fit for Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

The Biancocelesti are planning an important transfer window as they look to continue building Sarri’s project in the Italian capital, something that began last summer.

Lazio currently look on track to secure a top four finish in Serie A, allowing them to invest more heavily thanks to the Champions League income. The expected sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic will also give the club more to work with.

As suggested by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Tare is working hard to find the right midfielder for Sarri’s system at Lazio and believes Bournemouth’s Billing may be a strong option.

The 26-year-old Danish midfielder has done well in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals across 26 games, and could likely be signed for a bargain price in the summer.

Billing’s contract expires with Bournemouth in June 2024 and the club currently sit 19th in the Premier League table, making relegation likely. These two factors would allow Lazio to pick him up for less than his €18-20 million market value.
