Marusic is set to return to Rome later today, but it seems unlikely that he’ll feature in Lazio’s match against Napoli tomorrow.

Like other players who’ve been infected with Covid-19, Marusic will need to regain his match fitness after undergoing the usual medical tests.

Even if he fails to feature in tomorrow’s match against Napoli, his return is still important for coach Maurizio Sarri, who could deploy him next week against Udinese on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Marusic, who is contracted to Lazio until 2022, has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1007 minutes.
