Lazio president Claudio Lotito has frozen the contract renewal talks with Felipe Anderson as Juventus maintain their interest.

The 30-year-old Brazilian has entered the last year of his deal in the Italian capital and talks between his sister-agent Juliana Gomes and the club have been ongoing for months now, with progress coming painfully slow.

Recent reports claimed that Felipe Anderson had agreed to sign a four-and-a-half year contract worth around €3 million net per season plus add-ons, but no deal has been signed and things have started to look tense.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Lotito decided to freeze contract talks with Felipe Anderson as he’s been left unimpressed by the Brazilian’s work this term, scoring just one goal and providing four assists across 20 games.

The Lazio president wants to see a stronger response from the 30-year-old before he’ll proceed with the negotiations.

In the meantime, Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has maintained his interest in Felipe Anderson, wanting to snap up the winger on a free transfer next summer.
