Girona are continuing to insist on Valentin Castellanos but Lazio are refusing to open up to a possible deal.

The Spanish side had the Argentinian striker on loan last season, where he shined with 14 goals and one assist across 37 matches. His impressive work in La Liga earned him a €20 million move to the Biancocelesti following his return to New York City.

Girona found another source of goals this season, Artem Dovbyk. The Ukrainian forward is widely expected to leave in a high-profile transfer in the coming months, prompting the Spanish side to start quickly looking for a replacement.
