Lazio coach Marco Baroni still has not made a final decision on a formation for tomorrow’s Serie A match against Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Lazio will have a tremendously tough assignment on their hands tomorrow against Inter.
The Biancocelesti have already proven themselves as big match performers this season. Recent wins over the likes of Napoli and Ajax underline this.
However, the defending champions could be an altogether different proposition.
Therefore, the Gazzetta report, Lazio coach Baroni is considering making some adjustments.
Baroni has toyed with the idea of playing a 4-3-3 formation tomorrow.
That is different from the usual 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-4 shape that the Biancocelesti have used throughout the season.
According to the Gazzetta, Baroni is considering adding Fisayo Dele-Bashiru to midfield to beef up the numbers alongside Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella.
Naturally, the Lazio coach is wary of the midfield battle. Inter will line up with a highly formidable trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Hakan Calhanoglu, and Nicolo Barella.
However, there is also every chance that Baroni will stick to his guns.
That would entail keeping the midfield pair of Guendouzi and Rovella.
But then, Rovella would have Boulaye Dia on the pitch as an additional attacker. The Senegalese would be playing behind Tijani Noslin.
