Lazio coach Maurizio Sarri has a disappointing record against Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti, only ever winning once before.

The following campaign the Lazio coach’s Napoli lost 3-1 at home to Spalletti’s Roma, but they responded well in the away match, winning 2-1 in the Stadio Olimpico.

The 2017/18 season was less electric; Sarri’s Napoli drew 0-0 with Spalletti’s Inter in both of their meetings, which were the last times that the pair faced off against each other.
