Mourinho Wants Roma to Have “More Ambition Than Lazio” in the Derby

His first meeting against Roma came in the 2014/15 season when his Empoli side lost 1-0 at home.

Sarri did not achieve his first win against the Giallorossi until the 2016/17 season when his Napoli side won 2-1 away at the Stadio Olimpico.

Lazio Coach Sarri Calls Derby vs Roma “One of the Most Important Matches in Europe”

Since that game, the Lazio coach has only lost to Roma once, a 4-2 defeat in the 2017/18 season, and he has won his last two games against the Giallorossi, both with Juventus in the 2019/20 campaign.

Sarri will be hoping to better his record against Roma in today’s derby, a key game for the Biancocelesti as they look to break the run of poor form that started following the 2-0 loss to AC Milan.
