Lazio Coach Calls Inter Milan “A Team From Another World”

Lazio coach Igor Tudor feels that Inter Milan have been a “team from another world” this season.

The Croatian tactician praised the Nerazzurri in a press conference ahead of his team’s Serie A match against Sassuolo, as reported by FCInterNews. He looked back on last weekend’s match against the champions.

Last weekend, Lazio did something quite rare this season. They took points off of Inter.

This campaign in the league, the Nerazzurri have only lost twice – both times to Sassuolo. And they have only drawn against Bologna, Juventus, Genoa, Napoli, Cagliari, and Tudor’s Lazio.

Otherwise, it has been nothing but wins for Inter. This sees them on 93 points going into the final match of the campaign.

Therefore, it is little surprise that Inter have won the Serie A title in dominant fashion.

Last weekend, however, the Biancocelesti did show that they are capable of going toe-to-toe with Inter.

It is not just that Tudor’s men went out and got a result.

The match was also, in truth, a fairly even one.

Lazio had taken the lead during the first half. And then Inter did plenty to push for an equalizer, which eventually came courtesy of a Denzel Dumfries header in the first half.

Biancocelesti coach Tudor remarked that “Mentally, we’ve grown quite a bit.”

“The match against Inter is proof of that,” he continued.

Tudor noted that “They’d already won the league. But they still put their best team out on the pitch.”

“But we played a match with real determination,” the coach went on.

“I saw all the matches that Lazio have played this season. And I got a good response, considering that Inter are a team from another world.”

“We had some errors. But it’s normal that we have to learn quickly.”

“And in the last few months I’ve learned a lot about my players,” added Tudor.
