Ahead of the Biancocelesti’s significant match against Juventus tomorrow evening, newly appointed Lazio coach Igor Tudor provided his insight ahead of his first match at the helm of the capital side in the press conference on the eve of the match-up.

As it stands, Lazio currently sit in ninth with 43 points, trailing eleven points behind fourth-placed Bologna, and have only won two out of their last five fixtures in the domestic league.

With the Biancocelesti failing to replicate their stellar form from last year’s campaign, which guided them to a superb second place finish, Lazio now turn towards the former Verona and Marseille boss in order to over come this period of great difficulty following the departure of coach Maurizio Sarri.

While speaking to the media, as relayed by TMW, Tudor expressed his emotions prior to his debut in the Biancocelesti:

“The sensations are always positive, in football you always think about the challenge, of being able to win. Football is joy. The stadium full? It will be beautiful, there will be many motivations, but it must be prepared in the right way from every point of view. I think about preparing the team and not about emotions.”

In addition, the Croatian tactician touched upon the signals he received from his players throughout their first week of training within the Tudor era at the Roman side:

“They all returned without ailments and this is important. The problem is that they arrived late and we did little work. We worked well with the others in 6-7 training sessions. The boys had the right application and desire. The team must be the mirror of the coach, but it takes time and patience to transform this Lazio. I’ve been here a little while. I’ll try to do it quickly, but the team won’t be perfect, but we will work.”
