Inter captain Lautaro Martinez could still face a ban for his outburst following his side’s 1-0 defeat to Juventus if FIGC prosecutors uncover audio evidence confirming the use of blasphemous language.
The Nerazzurri striker was seen shouting angrily on the pitch after the final whistle, with some outlets suggesting a blasphemous expression could be lip-read from the footage.

However, due to the lack of audio proof, it has been impossible to determine whether the 27-year-old was actually swearing. Nevertheless, the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) is reportedly still investigating, working to gather any missing evidence.
According to Il Messaggero, Martinez remains under scrutiny as the FIGC Prosecutor’s Office actively seeks audio recordings that could substantiate the blasphemy allegations.

Should any evidence emerge, the Nerazzurri skipper could face a one-match ban. However, the report suggests a final verdict is unlikely to arrive before Inter’s crucial clash against Napoli at the Stadio Diego Maradona.
Martinez has firmly denied using a blasphemous phrase, calling the speculation surrounding him ‘hurtful’.
