Lautaro Martínez: “Real Madrid offered me a contract.”

Speaking to ESPN Argentina, Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martínez revealed why he turned down an offer to join Real Madrid.

“[Santiago] Solari was at Real Madrid Castilla and he came looking for me. I had barely arrived at Racing and I didn’t feel like I was ready to move far away. The second time when I wasn’t playing so much at Racing they came looking for me and offered me a contract, but I didn’t feel ready.”
