Despite having made a winning start to the Premier League, Tottenham are having a difficult summer.

They’ve been beaten to a few signings that would really have helped improve them, with the most recent example being Eberi Eze. The winger was poached from under their noses by Arsenal of all people, right at the last moment.

They’ve just not been able to get in the attacking options they want, especially in the wake of losing Heung-min Son this summer.

Spurs consider a second attacking Chelsea player

With the window coming to a close and reinforcement still needed, the Whites need help. And they may have to turn to Chelsea for it. We’ve already written about their interest in Nicolas Jackson, but it seems he’s not the only one they’re keen on.

CaughtOffside today report that Christopher Nkunku is a player they could be interested in, as Chelsea continue their campaign to sell the 27 year old.

So far there’s been a lot of tentative interest from Bayern Munich and mentions of plenty of other teams, but nothing concrete.

This piece even says that Chelsea could be willing to consider a loan with an option to buy. We’re not sure we’re got that desperate yet – although as we saw in the case of Raheem Sterling, every player eventually reaches a tipping point where the club are forced to accept a loan may be their only option.

Now that Chelsea are in a net profit for the summer (or close enough), a loan with a compulsory transfer to follow is certainly possible.

Chelsea not afraid to sell stars to rivals

In the past, we’d suspect that Chelsea would be reluctant to sell to their rivals – now we’re in a whole new world where anything goes. As long as the money is right, it’s on the table.
