Tomorrow is transfer deadline day in England, meaning today is the final push for clubs to get deals done and over the line in time for tomorrow evening’s registration sign off.

It’s a real race against time at this point if you are a club and trying to get a deal done, and Chelsea are absolutely in that category right now.

Pretty much every top source has now reported that they are once again pushing very hard to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica at these late stages, and club officials are reportedly out in Portugal now to try and tie it up.

The big issue right now though is not the 120m euros fee that is the release clause, but Chelsea wanting to pay it in instalments, and Benfica still insisting on the fee in full.
