The Algeria international has only made one appearance this season and was ruled out for four months after undergoing calf surgery in September. He’s expected to return to action in January.
On the other hand, Loftus-Cheek and Sportiello suffered minor injuries during a 6-1 Coppa Italia win over Sassuolo on Tuesday, but according to Calciomercato, both players are expected to be available on Friday, when the Rossoneri visit direct rivals Atalanta in Bergamo.
The experienced goalkeeper is dealing with knee inflammation, while the English midfielder suffered a knock in his calf.
Both trained separately at Milanello on Wednesday.
