Mansfield set to make decision

In other League Two news, Mansfield Town are set to make a major decision over the future of striker Danny Johnson today.

As per Alan Nixon via Patreon, Nigel Clough’s side will recall the striker today if the two clubs cannot agree on a fee for the player.

Johnson’s loan spell with Walsall is up, but they have the chance to buy him permanently if they can strike a deal.

Johnson has 15 goals in 30 Walsall appearances in all competitions so it is understandable that the Saddlers are doing everything they can to keep hold of him.

Mansfield sign Swindon midfielder

Just breaking this morning is another headline surrounding Mansfield Town, in fact.

The club have gone and signed Louis Reed from Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 25-year-old was given his Sheffield United debut aged 16 by Clough, who is now in charge at Mansfield.

Clough has explained that Reed has came in as a direct replacement for Anthony Hartigan.
