With all still to play for, it could be a crucial window for many which could define their prospects over the coming months.

We take a look at some of the latest transfer news from the second tier.

Salford City line up move for Scottish striker

Salford City are reportedly interested in Dundee United striker Tony Watt.

According to the Scottish Daily Express, the ambitious Ammies are attempting to negotiate a deal for the front man, with fellow League Two outfit Bradford City also keen.

Watt has had an incredibly eventful playing career, with his most notable moment coming when he scored the winning goal in a 2-1 Champions League win over Barcelona during his time at Celtic.

The 29-year-old has also had stints with Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City, Blackburn Rovers, St Johnstone and Motherwell among others, before moving to Tannadice Park last January.

Watt has struggled for game time this season, although he did score the winner in Monday’s 1-0 win at St Johnstone, but he could be set to move south of the border as Neil Wood looks to strengthen for his side’s play-off push.

The 21-year-old came through the academy at the Riverside Stadium and has made two senior first-team appearances for the club, as well as making 18 appearances on loan with National League side Yeovil Town last season.

The Cumbrians are currently sitting fourth in the table, seven points behind-third placed Northampton Town and manager Paul Simpson was delighted to bolster his defence with Robinson’s arrival.

“I’m delighted that we’ve got Jack over the line. He’s a player we’ve been looking at over the last month or two because we wanted to get cover in on that left side,” Simpson told the club’s official website.

“He can cover for us at wing back and centre back on that side of the pitch and that’s good for us.

“It’s his second loan, with him being out at Yeovil, and he has a very good pedigree about him.”

Hudlin joined the Terriers from Solihull Moors in the summer, before moving to Plough Lane temporarily shortly after.

The 22-year-old had initially struggled for game time with the Dons, but was beginning to establish himself in recent weeks.

He departs with four goals and one assist in his 18 appearances for the club, with all of those goal involvements coming in the Papa John’s Trophy.
