As expected, there is no shortage of rumours and speculation, with plenty more incomings and outgoings expected as the window comes to a close.

Here is some of the latest transfer news from the second tier.

Burnley closing in on Swansea striker

Burnley have agreed a deal with Swansea City for striker Michael Obafemi, according to journalist Mike McGrath.

There had been some doubts over whether the Clarets would continue their pursuit of Obafemi following the arrival of frontman Lyle Foster from Westerlo, reportedly for a fee of £8 million.

But McGrath has confirmed the move is nearing completion, with Obafemi set to undergo a medical ahead of his switch to Turf Moor.

Journalist Alex Crook claims the move will initially be a loan deal, with an obligation to buy for around £4 million.

Obafemi joined the Swans from Southampton last summer and enjoyed an excellent debut season in South Wales, scoring 12 goals at 33 appearances, but he has fallen out-of-favour recently under Russell Martin and has not featured since prior to the World Cup break.

Bournemouth agree fee for Bristol City man

Bournemouth have agreed a fee with Bristol City for striker Antoine Semenyo.

Alex Crook reports that the deal is worth £9 million plus add ons and Semenyo is set to undergo a medical at the Vitality Stadium.

There has been no shortage of interest in Semenyo after another impressive season at Ashton Gate which has seen him score six goals and register three assists in all competitions, but the Cherries look set to beat the likes of Crystal Palace, Southampton and Burnley to his signature.

Robins manager Nigel Pearson confirmed the news in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.

“As we stand, Antoine is in discussions with Bournemouth, I can confirm that,” Pearson told Bristol Live. “The driver of those types of situations are two clubs agreeing a fee. That’s happened now and the club will at some point disclose what that is but not today at a press conference.

“He’s been given permission to speak to the club and there will be an opportunity for a medical. That’s where we are with that and no real further comments on that at the moment. “The most important fact to recognise at the moment is a fee has been agreed between the two clubs so now there are other factors to wait to see; one being a medical and one being agreeing personal terms.”

Hull City enter talks for Nottingham Forest defender

Hull City are in talks with Nottingham Forest over a potential loan move for defender Harry Toffolo, according to Hull Live.

Toffolo arrived at the City Ground after an excellent season with Huddersfield Town, scoring six goals and providing eight assists as the Terriers reached the play-off final under Carlos Corberan.

But the 27-year-old has found his game time limited in the Premier League, making just 10 top flight appearances, with only six of those coming as starts as Steve Cooper has preferred Renan Lodi at left-back.

Toffolo would be a useful addition for Tigers head coach Liam Rosenior, who has been deploying centre-half Jacob Greaves at left-back in recent weeks ahead of Callum Elder, while Brandon Fleming has joined Oxford United on loan.
