Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has spoken regularly about the importance of mentality in the Premier League - and it was there for all to see at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Trailing 2-1 with seconds left, Harry Kane rose highest to connect with Ivan Perisic’s perfect corner delivery, glancing a header into the far corner for 2-2 and a share of the spoils.

Pierre more than played his part as we came back twice in a typically explosive encounter in SW6. Chelsea took the lead via Kalidou Koulibaly on 19 minutes, but we were level midway through the second half when Pierre drilled home from 25 yards.

The grand finale is even more noteworthy having fallen behind again just 10 minutes after the euphoria of equalising, Reece James on target on 77 minutes. Undetered, we found a way to take something back to N17.

“It’s mentality, character and resilience and, in this case, I think the team should be proud,” stated Pierre, speaking to SPURSPLAY afterwards. “For me, this is not luck. This is something you work towards.

“Again, well done to come back, well done not to lose the game in this case, because we were the losing side until the last minute. In that case, well done to the team for showing great composure.

“We gave the fans something to celebrate, which is also great. It gives us a good feeling. I don’t like to celebrate a draw, but in this case the team showed great resilience. If we don’t win, at least Chelsea don’t win.”
