José Mourinho gave a chance to his squad players at Adams Park on Monday evening, but they looked off the pace in the early exchanged and conceded a goal midway through the first half thanks to Fred Onyedinma’s smart finish.

Tottenham almost thought they had equalised soon after, only for the ball to ricocheted off the crossbar.

But they did get their goal on the stroke of half time, as a Lucas Moura ball was floated into the box and Bale was there to finish from close range.

After the break and Mourinho called in the big guns as Harry Kane was introduced as well as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

But the England captain was denied his winner after having an unorthodox effort cleared off the line.

The Premier League outfit were pushing hard for a winner now and eventually got it with just three minutes remaining when Winks lofted an effort into the back of the net.

It was a great finish but that wasn’t the end of the goals as Ndombele put a cap on the result with two goals in stoppage time.
