A member of the midfield ranks at Las Palmas is closing on an imminent move to La Liga outfit Getafe.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Diario AS, who point towards Javi Muñoz as the player in question.
Muñoz, for his part, is fresh off a season which saw the 30-year-old continue to play a leading role for Las Palmas, to the tune of 35 La Liga appearances.
His efforts in the end did not prove enough to help stave off relegation, with Los Amarillos primed for a year back in Spain’s 2nd tier in 2025/26.
The club’s push for an immediate return to the top-flight, though, looks set to come without Muñoz’s contributions.
The midfielder’s current terms in Gran Canaria are due to come to an end on June 30th. And as per the aforementioned MD:
‘According to the newspaper ‘AS’, the official announcement of Muñoz’s move to Getafe could come in the next few hours, as there is an agreement between the club and the midfielder.’
