Las Palmas have appointed Paco Jémez as their new coach. The former Cruz Azul coach will be in charge of the club until the end of the season.
A statement on the club’s website read:
“Paco Jémez (April 18, 1970, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) will take charge of the UD Las Palmas bench until the end of the season. He will move next week to Gran Canaria, to be officially presented as the new coach of the yellow club on Wednesday 27 December. That same day, in the afternoon, the return to work of the team is scheduled after the Christmas break.
“Paco Jémez had already directed the UD Las Palmas when she played in the Second Division ‘A’. He took over the team the last ten days of the 2009-2010 season, replacing Sergio Kresic. The following year he continued in the yellow bench until day 26, being dismissed after the defeat in Granada (5-2). His place was occupied by Juan Manuel Rodríguez.

Subsequently, Jémez sat on the banks of Córdoba (second stage), Rayo Vallecano, Granada and Cruz Azul from Mexico.
