Manchester City will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening, hoping to pick up all three points away from home. The visitors will be coming into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Arsenal in the FA Cup competition, whereas Antonio Conte’s men recorded a 3-0 win against Preston North End.
Pep Guardiola will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with a couple of tweaks from the last game as Aymeric Laporte seems likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.
Ederson Moraes will return to operate in between the sticks for the upcoming clash. The Brazilian shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.
Aymeric Laporte will replace John Stones to form the centre-half partnership with Manuel Akanji at the heart of City’s backline.
Rico Lewis should be a starter at the right-back position, whereas Nathan Ake will fill in on the other flank as the left-back. The full-backs will be expected to stay compact and keep their shape defensively.

Rodri might start in the holding midfield position and could be assigned more of a defensive role to shield the away side’s back four.
Ilkay Gundogan will slot into the central midfield role, whereas Kevin De Bruyne is expected to start in the attacking midfield position. The duo would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal-scoring chances for the frontmen.
Kalvin Phillips will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he could come on to make a cameo appearance in the second half.
Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez will take up the wide positions, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.
Erling Haaland will lead the line for Manchester City this weekend. The Norwegian international would hope to get his name on the scoresheet when he faces off against the Spurs defence that has conceded six goals in their last five matches across all competitions.
Julian Alvarez will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he could be brought on in the second forty-five minutes.
