Barcelona president Joan Laporta is dropping a sale bombshell on the dressing room ahead of the summer market.
That's according to El Chiringuito's Alfredo Duro, who says Laporta has approved the sales of two Barca stalwarts.
"Laporta has put (Sergi) Busquets and Jordi Alba up for sale because of their salary," revealed Duro, quoted by Le 10 Sport.
Both senior players are La Masia products, with Busquets making his debut with Barca in 2008.
Alba, meanwhile, was brought back to Barca from Valencia in 2012 and has been an outstanding performer this season.
This term, Spain international midfielder Busquets has been a virtual ever present for Barca coach Ronald Koeman, playing 46 games and producing four assists. The 32 year-old has a contract with the Catalans to 2023.
Meanwhile, left-back Alba, also 32, has a contract to 2024. The Spain international has been superb for Koeman's team this season and has played 45 games, scoring five goals and producing an impressive 15 assists.
