👑 Landmark hit for first Premier League goal of 2024

We have our first Premier League goal of the new year.

And it is no surprise that it came from a man who has a habit of getting them.

Mo Salah opened the scoring shortly after half-time for Liverpool against Newcastle to kickstart 2024 and make up for his first half penalty miss.

In addition to being the first goal since the calendars were replaced, it was also his 150th in the Premier League for Liverpool.

He is the third fastest player to reach that tally in England’s top flight for the Reds after Roger Hunt and Gordon Hodgson.

Salah also moves into the top 10 Premier League scorers with the strike too.

What a shame he’ll be lost to international duty after this one for the Africa Cup of Nations.
