Lamine Yamal to be handed new Barcelona jersey number after turning 18 | OneFootball

Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal is set to be handed a new jersey number this summer.

That’s according to the reliable Memorabilia1899 on ‘X’, who have confirmed that the winger’s ongoing excellence will be rewarded courtesy of the no.10 shirt in Hansi Flick’s squad.

Barca’s no.10 is currently held by out-of-favour wide-man Ansu Fati.

The shirt previously worn by the likes of Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona at the Camp Nou, though, will have a new owner for the 2025/26 campaign.

Lamine, for his part, is set to be rewarded with a new contract in July, upon celebrating his 18th birthday.

And the agreement between the Blaugrana and their attacking prodigy will also be reflected by way of recognition of Lamine’s growing importance in Hansi Flick’s squad.
