Barcelona’s teen sensation Lamine Yamal signed his first professional contract with the club on Monday.
The 16-year-old has signed a contract which will keep him at Camp Nou until 2026, with his release clause set at €1 billion.
Yamal joined Barça’s La Masia academy as a seven-year-old and made his first team debut for the club against Real Betis in April, when he was aged just 15 years, 9 months and 16 days old.
This season the youngster has made a further nine first-team appearances, becoming the Blaugrana’s youngest ever starter and the second youngest player to appear in the Champions League.
And his exploits have also earned him his first senior call-up for the Spanish national team, with his goal against Georgia making him both La Roja’s youngest ever player and scorer.
