Connection are what make FC Barcelona, or any other club for that matter, feel more united. Any team that knows that it has a strong unity within its squad will feel invincible even when facing opponents twice as strong. That is why Hansi Flick wants to create a sense of unity within Barcelona again.

Even before meeting many of his first team stars in person, the new Barcelona coach is already trying to establish connections. This is because he knows the value of these players and what can be brought out of them if they play in ideal conditions.

That is why, even ahead of the games that he participates in during the European Championship, Hansi Flick has been regularly contacting a certain 16-year-old Barcelona prodigy to show his own support for him and to help him feel motivated.

According to Lamine Yamal himself, as highlighted by Reshad Rahman, the player was given a massive boost and a prophecy of sorts by his new Barcelona coach ahead of his all-important semi-final clash against France:

“Me and Flick often talk on WhatsApp. Before the match against France, he told me that I was going to score, and that’s what happened. After the game, we spoke again. Even if it’s just messages, I’m happy to already have good relations with him.”

Constant support from his new coach will undeniably be important for young Lamine Yamal. Moreover, regular contact just proves that the current Barça manager is quite particular about establishing good relationships with his players.

This also confirms that the new German coach leading Barcelona is already establishing strong connections. The 16-year-old homegrown club prodigy, now a certified record-breaker with Spain as well, seems to be one of the players that Flick wants to focus on.

An exceptionally gifted player, many believe Yamal could be the next big thing. Already having taken praise from many icons of the sport, the Barcelona winger is now a target for Hansi Flick to manage and the former Bayern coach will undoubtedly try to bring out his best possible version after the Euros as well.
