The recent hours have been rather stressful for FC Barcelona due to a major injury scare. Over the course of the last day or so, a lot of reports have been speculating the reality of Lamine Yamal’s recent discomfort. Consequently, Barcelona has been extremely attentive to these developments and the player has already been recalled as well from the Spanish National team camp.

While the initial medical tests have confirmed that there is no major injury for Yamal or Barcelona to worry about, the club still wants to run further tests to confirm that prognosis. Moreover, there are reports even suggesting that he could miss the game against Sevilla if there is an overload in his leg.

However, the first step to confirm anything at this point would be to have the player return to the club. Fortunately, that no longer has to be a worry as the 17-year-old superstar looks to have returned to Barcelona already just today.

Right after his arrival, however, he was asked about his current feelings regarding his discomfort. As highlighted by Fabrizio Romano, Yamal’s answer was short but it managed to provide a positive update on his current progression:

“Yes I’m feeling better now. Let’s recover and return as soon as possible.”

Fortunately for the club, that is exactly the kind of thing that they would have liked to hear. While medical tests will still likely be conducted to ensure that the player can be given the proper rest and care as per his requirements, this is as good of an initial impression as they could have hoped for.

With his return from the National team camp, Yamal will at least be guaranteed an extra few days of rest now that he no longer has to worry about the game that Spain will have to play against Serbia. Pedri still remains with Luis de la Fuente, but sending Yamal back right after his recent discomfort is the best possible thing that Barcelona and Spain could have agreed over.
