Barcelona starlet Lamine Yamal has this weekend drawn fresh comparisons with the club’s greatest-ever player.

As much comes fresh off the Spanish international’s latest stellar individual showing.

Barcelona, of course, marked their return to action on Saturday night, welcoming Athletic Club to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, Hansi Flick’s troops emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, to make it two wins from two to open the campaign.

Post-match, Lamine, in turn, was singled out for widespread praise, as the starlet continues to build on his reputation as world football’s standout young talent.

And amongst those to reveal their admiration for the winger was Athletic Club head coach Ernesto Valverde.

Speaking to the media in the aftermath of Saturday’s Montjuïc matchup, ex-Barcelona boss Valverde raved:
