It is apparent that Lamine Yamal has gone from being just another youth prospect at Barcelona to becoming the most talked-about talent in world football.
Over the past year or so, Yamal has consolidated his position as one of the best wingers in the world and could emerge as a strong candidate for the Ballon d’Or.
Yamal is coming on the back of an exceptional season where he helped Barcelona win the domestic treble. He was also instrumental in helping Spain win the European Championship last summer.
All of these achievements at just 17 have skyrocketed Yamal’s valuation.
As a matter of fact, Lamine Yamal has officially become the most valuable player in world football, according to Transfermarkt.
Over the years, Transfermarkt has become the benchmark when it comes to judging player valuation and market trends in the world of football.
And in its latest update, the website has raised Yamal’s valuation to a whopping €200 million.

By doing so, Yamal has overtaken Jude Bellingham as the world’s most valued footballer. The Real Madrid midfielder’s valuation remains stable at €180 million.
Earlier, Vinicius Junior used to enjoy the label of being the most valued footballer, with a valuation of €200 million. But after a disappointing season, the Brazilian’s valuation has dropped to €170 million.
Apart from Bellingham, Yamal leads a list of stars such as Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Bukayo Saka.
Yamal is not the only Barcelona player to see a large valuation increase, though. His teammate Pedri also saw his valuation rise from €120 million to €140 million.
Even Raphinha’s valuation has risen €10 million to €90 million while Pau Cubarsi’s valuation stands at €70 million.
