Betis won at Camp Nou, Sevilla are slowly mounting a title challenge and Real Madrid are back to winning ways.
So who stood out in amongst the madness? Here’s who made our LaLiga team of the weekend.
Valladolid have been a surprise package in LaLiga thus far and they owe their point against Eibar to goalkeeper Jordi Masip who was on top form.
Injuries are killing Real Madrid. But after a slow start, Odriozola showed that he can be relied upon with a great performance against Celta.
Sevilla currently sit second after their win against Espanyol and Mercado deserves credit for what was an outstanding defensive effort.
He is largely known for his defending ability, but Godín stepped up for his team with a crucial injury time header to earn them three points.
It’s not often you score against Barcelona at Camp Nou, but Junior was faultless all game – on top of his goal – to earn Betis a historic win.
Parejo has been criticised of late, but his performance against Getafe was that of a leader. Valencia needed a win after their disappointing start.
The Portuguese midfielder has blown hot and cold so far at Betis, but he put in a perfect performance against the likes of Busquets, Rakitić and Vidal.
What a player Diego Simeone has on his hands. Rodri ran the game from midfield against Athletic Club, showing maturity behind his 22 years.
Despite their defeat, Brais Méndez offered some excitement for Celta against Los Blancos. He was often the most dangerous player in a misfiring frontline.
For some reason Ben Yedder can never nail down a starting spot for Sevilla, but when called upon, he always scores.
Another player who has understandably faced criticism, but Benzema is stepping up for Real Madrid when they need him. His goal against Celta was top notch.
