LaLiga investigate party hosted by Lionel Messi for Barcelona team-mates

The Athletic report that LaLiga are investigating a possible breach of Covid-19 rules after Lionel Messi hosted a party for his Barcelona team-mates.

Catalan authorities are currently investigating the matter as the players’ partners were also present at the barbecue.

Barça are denying there was a breach and suggest that the barbecue was within regulations as the squad are all part of the same bubble, that they eat together every day at the Ciutat Esportiva, and that at all times the distance rules were respected at Messi’s house.

LaLiga are now investigating whether the barbecue involving the group breached rules that prevent gatherings of more than six people.
