Las Palmas are already looking for their third head coach of the season after sacking Pako Ayestarán on Wednesday evening.
A Copa del Rey defeat to Deportivo La Coruña was the final straw for the 54-year-old, who was in charge for just nine weeks.
In that time, Las Palmas have lost six of their seven LaLiga fixtures, picking up just one point.
After earning six points from the six games before Ayestarán arrived, the team from Gran Canaria are now in the LaLiga relegation zone.
On Wednesday, Las Palmas lost to Deportivo but actually went into the next round of the Copa del Rey, thanks to a 4-1 win in the first leg.
Paquito Ortiz and Rafa Cristóbal will take over the team until a new head coach is announced.
