Arsenal clashed heads with Burnley at the Emirates earlier tonight, hoping to pick up a win on their home turf. The hosts had some great moments over the course of the 90 minutes as Alexandre Lacazette, Emile Smith Rowe, and Martin Odegaard had the chances to win it for the Gunners; however, Sean Dyche’s men defended with their life on the line to make sure the game finishes goalless.

Let’s look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against the Clarets.

Arsenal Players Rated In Stalemate Vs Burnley

Aaron Ramsdale 7.5/10

The in-form English goalkeeper wasn’t put under pressure too often except for the set-piece situations. However, he was quick to come off the line and clear the ball on several occasions.

Kieran Tierney 7/10

The Scottish international provided Gabriel Martinelli with adequate support down the left flank, but his deliveries into the box lacked precision.

Gabriel Magalhaes 7/10

The Brazilian centre-back hardly put a foot wrong all game. He kept the defence organised over the course of the 90 minutes and made some decent tackles to win the ball back in his half.

Rob Holding 6.5/10

Holding was as solid as a rock at the heart of Arsenal’s backline. He kept his cool and defended well even under high-pressure situations.

Ben White 7/10

To my surprise, the former Leeds defender slotted really well into a wider role. Although he didn’t take the risk of putting too many crosses into the box, he supported Bukayo Saka quite well via his overlapping runs.

Albert Sambi Lokonga 6.5/10

The Belgian international put an end to several of Burnely’s counterattacks. His work rate at the centre of the match was unparalleled.

Martin Odegaard 6.5/10

The Norwegian midfielder’s spectacular effort from free-kick landed on top of the net. He had the technique right but just couldn’t make the ball dip quick enough.

Gabriel Martinelli 6/10

The Brazilian winger’s poor decision making in the final third was quite frustrating.

Emile Smith Rowe 7/10

He got himself a good chance on the edge of the box following a set-piece routine, but Nick Pope was in no mood to concede a goal.

Bukayo Saka 6/10

The Englishman could get past his opponents with little to no effort on the right-wing. He created quite a few chances for the frontmen tonight.

Alexandre Lacazette 6/10

Smith Rowe created a golden chance in the 68-minute-mark, only for Lacazette to put it wide of the mark. He really should have made that count. Nonetheless, the Frenchman’s link-up play was impressive throughout the match.

Substitutes

Eddie Nketiah 5/10

He added some extra firepower to Arsenal’s frontline.
