La Masia duo expected to leave Barcelona on loan – report | OneFootball

Having gotten most of their incoming transfer business done, Barcelona will focus on outgoings in the coming weeks, which is crucial for them to be able to register the new signings.

The Catalan giants have been able to get rid of players like Oscar Mingueza, Riqui Puig, Neto and Clement Lenglet among others who were not part of the plans under manager Xavi Hernandez.

However, there are still a few more players whose future lies away from Camp Nou such as Martin Braithwaite, Samuel Umtiti and Memphis Depay, whose exits need to be sorted soon.

At the same time, there could be loan exits for some young prospects who might struggle for meaningful game-time at Camp Nou this season.

And Mundo Deportivo is reporting that there is a good chance that two La Masia graduates, Alejandro Balde and Nico Gonzalez, could be on their way out of Barcelona on loan spells in the coming weeks.

Balde has not been used regularly by manager Xavi despite the apparent lack of depth and options in the left-back slot. And with Barcelona set to sign Marcos Alonso from Chelsea imminently, the teenager would hardly stand a chance of playing regularly.

So, an exit on a temporary basis makes sense for Balde, as he could join a team where he can play consistently and gather valuable experience.

As for Nico, manager Xavi continues to insist that the 20-year-old remains a part of his plans. But considering that Barça have added Franck Kessie this summer and are set to retain the services of Miralem Pjanic, the La Masia ace is unlikely to see a lot of game-time either.

Nico is said to be open to leaving Camp Nou on loan and despite his public stance, Xavi, too, reportedly believes that a loan move would be the best possible option for the youngster.

If he is made available for a loan exit, Nico is unlikely to have any shortage of suitors, with Premier League club Wolves already showing a great deal of interest.
