Although Barcelona’s hopes of securing an exit for Vitor Roque this month have suffered a major blow, in the wake of RFEF’s whip, the club continue to receive offers for other on-loan players.

One of them is Clement Lenglet, who has impressed a lot during his loan spell at Atletico Madrid this season.

The Frenchman has been able to channel his old Sevilla form, emerging as a key cog in Atletico Madrid’s defence following the injury of Robin le Normand.

Atletico Madrid table bid for Lenglet

According to Diario SPORT, Barcelona have even received a fresh offer from Atletico Madrid for the services of Lenglet.

It appears Diego Simeone’s team are ready to pay €5 million plus variables to acquire the services of the French defender on a permanent deal.

However, Barcelona have no desire to agree to Atletico Madrid’s terms as they are looking for a higher value for the centre-back.

The Catalans are aware of the fact that Lenglet has been one of Atletico Madrid’s top defensive performers this season, showcasing a form not seen since his time at Sevilla.

Barcelona are looking to leverage the Frenchman’s form to yield a higher value. In fact, the club are looking for a fee close to €10 million.

That said, Atletico Madrid are unlikely to meet Barcelona’s demands either. This impasse could lead to two clubs making sacrifices and settling for a price somewhere around the middle.

The report suggests the two clubs could close the deal for a figure of around €7-8 million, which should be adequate for Barcelona.
