Barcelona president Javier Tebas has confirmed that efforts are ongoing to de-register Dani Olmo from the first-team setup at Barcelona.
The long-running ‘registration case’ in Catalunya’s capital was of course finally brought to a close earlier this month.
As much came upon confirmation coming to the fore that Barcelona, after being rejected by both La Liga and the RFEF, had seen an appeal to the courts prove successful.
Summer signings Olmo and Pau Víctor, as a result, were once more made eligible to line out for Hansi Flick’s side.
As alluded to above, though, one individual who remains dead set on reversing this situation comes in the form of Javier Tebas.
Speaking during an event at the Association of Sports Press of Madrid on Monday evening, Tebas was again drawn on Barca’s success in getting Olmo’s registration documents over the line.
And La Liga’s president made full use of the opportunity to both reiterate his discontent with the outcome, and confirm plans to fight back:
“We are against the registration and we are putting together the resources that correspond to us with the relevant bodies. And we ask that he (Olmo) not be registered, logically.
“If we as a league are raising the appeals, it is because we believe that a decision has not been made in accordance with the law as it should be.”
