With just under a quarter of the 2021/22 season remaining, it is time to deliver our latest La Liga predictions.

Real Madrid are nine points clear at the top of the La Liga table and winning the title has looked a foregone conclusion for some time now.

However, their recent home defeat against Barcelona sent shockwaves around Europe, although they remain favourites to hang on to top spot.

Los Blancos have a 90% chance of winning the league this season and they should get the job done. While clinching the trophy is all that matters short term, Barca’s victory at the Bernabeu Stadium fired a significant warning shot towards their big rivals.

A 4-0 rout in one of the biggest La Liga fixtures of the season was a massive statement of intent by the much-improved Catalan outfit.

With a game in hand and momentum on their side, it would be no surprise if Barca overhauled Sevilla on the run-in to claim the second spot.

The Andalusian side are fancied to end the campaign in third place, while Atletico Madrid should have enough about them to secure the final Champions League qualification place.

There are still a few issues to resolve at the foot of La Liga, with eight teams battling to avoid relegation to the second tier.

Things are looking pretty bleak for Levante, while Alaves will need to improve dramatically to climb out of the bottom three.

Real Mallorca’s recent form is a cause for concern, but we feel that Granada could be the value bet to be relegated this season.
